Alvaro Vasquez
Alvaro Vasquez - Top Gun Playoff Champion! Alvaro defeated Andres Rangel 4-6,7-5,10-3 in the Final Round of the Top Gun Playoff on July 21, 2011

Alvaro Vasquez has a big serve and he likes to serve and volley. He will slice a short ball with his single hand backhand and then follow it in to the net. He has excellent soft hands on his volleys. His serve at times will let him down. But he seems to have overcome the frequent double faults by using more wrist snap on his serve to give it more spin. Alvaro moves like a big cat, with fluid movement skills and excellent anticipation.
Gaston Gaudio, nicknamed El Gato (The Cat) is one of the most unpredictable players in the modern game, as he is capable of spectacular shot making especially with his outstanding single hand backhand and clever drop shots and within a short timeframe can self-destruct, which leaves himself and tennis fans in general frustrated with his inability to attain a level consistently enough and something that Gaudio acknowledges. Alvaro has a strong physical presence on the court. His size can be physically intimidating. But Alvaro can also self-destruct which can be equally frustrating.
